Travelling to La Tania
Coach
Arrive fresh Saturday morning, ready to ski for 8 days, after travelling by club class sleeper coach direct from the UK with our partners Ski Meribel.
- Includes travel to and from resort with pickups from London , Victoria and Dover port.
- Limited numbers of seats available - book early to avoid disappointment.
- Please note that the chalet is not available until 2pm on the day of arrival, but that luggage storage and a boot room will be available for changing into ski gear.
- Guests are requested to vacate the chalet by 10am on the day of departure but a shower room will be available in the chalet until 1pm. After this time shower facilities are available within La Tania at a small cost. Luggage storage is available at one of our chalets until departure.
Train 
Eurostar ski train ( eurostar.com )
- Eurostar operate a direct service from London to Moûtiers les Salins with overnight or daytime travel options. No airport hassles, you can bring plenty of ski gear (at no charge) and Moûtiers les Salins is only 20 minutes from La Tania.
- Friday evening departure, Saturday night return:
- Departs St Pancras International 20:31 (Ashford 21:15) - Arrives Moûtiers les Salins 05:37 (from 26 th Dec 08 to 18 April 09)
- Departs Moûtiers les Salins 23:09 - Arrives St Pancras International 07:16 (Ashford 06:34)

- Departs St Pancras International 10:00 (Ashford 10:47) - Arrives Moûtiers les Salins 17:30
- Departs Moûtiers les Salins 10:45 - Arrives St Pancras International 16:11 (Ashford 15:36)
- Please note that the chalet is not available until 2pm on the day of arrival, but that luggage storage and a boot room will be available for changing into ski gear after 10.30am. If you would like to arrive to resort earlier than this from Moutiers there are public facilities for showers, changing and luggage storage between the bus stop and the gondola station.

- Transfer to the chalets from Moutiers les Salins station is about £10 per person (based on 4 people sharing a taxi). Call for us for a precise quote.
- A public bus is also available from Moutiers to resort at approx 10euros one way or 15euros return altibus.com
Driving 
- Simply follow the signs from Calais to Reims, Troyes, Dijon, Lyon, Chambery, Albertville, Moûtiers, La Tania.

- Average time is approx 10hrs at 70mph on the French side.
- Average fuel costs will be about approx 200euros return at 35mpg on the french side plus About 120euros return for tolls if you use the motorway all the way.
- Drive down and stay in a Motel Friday night and get 8 days skiing !

Ferry or Tunnel ? 
The Tunnel is the quickest way, though not the cheapest - always book in advance and look for a deal. If you just turn up and drive on, prices can be up to 3 times more expensive.
P&O ferries ( poferries.com )
Operate from Dover to Calais and have up to 25 crossings a day in case you miss one. Sea France also operate this route but are less frequent.
DFDS Seaways ( dfdsseaways.co.uk )
The newest ferry operator with some fantastic brand new ships. Operate from
Dover to Calais and Dover to Dunkirk. There are at present 4 crossings a day for the popular Dover route.
Brittany Ferries ( brittanyferries.com )
Operate from Portsmouth to Cherbourg and Cean is another good option especially if you live nearby or can use the night sailing as your overnight stop.
Of course you don’t have to drive the journey all in one. There are plenty of motels just off the motorway with rooms per night for as little as £18 for a double. Check out the Ibis, Sofitel, Mercure, Novotel, Formule1, Etap, Red Roof and Motel6 hotel websites for latest prices.
Flying 
Although flying may seem the easiest means of transport, with the hassle of getting to and from the airport, latest flying security controls and rip off ski and board carriage costs ... door to door times and expense can be greater than they first appear. Still, with early booking and crafty comparison websites, good bargains can still be had.
Chambery in France or Geneva in Switzerland are the airports with the most transfer options to La Tania and are therefore more economical for small groups. Grenoble and Lyon (St Exupery) are also close, but with less transfer options are only economical for groups in multiples of 8 or over 20.

Airport Transfers
Transfer from the airport to resort by private car or minibus is about £70 per person return depending on the airport you fly into and numbers on the minibus.
